Self-awareness isn't soft. It’s the leadership edge in a world that won’t stop shifting.
A great leader knows that there is always more to learn.
Today’s leaders are under more pressure than ever before.
They’re expected to outpace volatility, lead through complexity, and perform at the highest level—often with fewer resources and faster cycles.
And most do what’s always worked: double down on their strengths, push harder, stay in control. But that playbook has a ceiling. Over time, the pressure tightens. Thinking narrows. Options shrink. Performance flattens—not because the leader has lost their edge, but because they’ve been leading in ways that no longer fit the world around them.
This isn’t a capability gap. It’s a self-awareness gap.
Because the real advantage today doesn’t come from more strategies—it comes from knowing which part of you is driving, and having the range to choose differently. That’s the work.
Coaching helps you widen that range. It helps you notice your blind spots, evolve past outdated habits, and unlock new ways of leading that are smarter, sharper and more adaptive.
When you do, you don’t just survive pressure. You create space inside it.
And from that space, you lead with clarity, confidence and bucket-loads more ease.

An ethical, evidenced-based, systemic approach to coaching
My approach to coaching.
Through an ethical, evidenced-based, systemic approach to coaching, I support leaders to grow their self-awareness in order to enhance their ability to empower others. This leads to inspiring and influential leadership, a fulfilling leadership experience and better business outcomes.
Practically speaking, I help leaders to explore adapt and expand themselves to a level that causes significant enhancement to their leadership capabilities. A big part of the process is to help leaders uncover the beliefs and assumptions that are holding them back and re-create new narratives and a that propel them forward.
My coaching expertise is relevant to anyone who wants to improve their influence as a leader, enhance their relationships and live a more meaningful existence.
It is not uncommon for leaders to think “I have done pretty well to get to this point, I do not need a coach”. My response to them is “If you have got this far without super-charging your self-awareness, imagine what is possible when you do?”.
Experience.
I have been in the hotseat. I understand the pressures, the complexity and the demands of being a CEO which means I can meet my executive counterparts where they are. In addition, thanks to my 20-year career in PR during which I worked with some of the world's most famous bluechip brands, I understand deeply the drivers of influence, which is one of the most essential skills for leadership. I now apply these learnings to my coaching to support my clients to enhance their ability to lead.
Purpose.
Seth Godin once said “turning your passion into your job is easier than finding a job that matches your passion”. I knew my passion was having deep conversations and I then discovered that my purpose is to inspire and support people to become the person they did not realise they could be. This gave me a direction and I was able to create a plan to make this my full time job. Coaching every day gives me the chance to fulfil my purpose that brings me immense joy and meaning.
Training.
My coaching education includes a Psychology BA from the University of Reading and a Masters of Coaching Psychology from the University of Sydney, which leads the world in coaching thinking. I was also accredited by the International Coaching Federation at ACC level from 2019-2021.

Three frequently asked
questions about coaching.
1. “Would coaching work for me?”
2. “What do I need, in order to make the most of coaching?”
3. “What benefits would I experience as a result of being coached?”
Coaching will work if you commit to a journey of personal growth and are open to discovering new and bigger perspectives about life. A great way to turn up to coaching is to be prepared to be challenged (think Tough Mudder for the soul) and ready to have a dig around in how you might be getting yourself stuck. And if there is genuine commitment then there are many benefits to an effective coaching engagement including gaining clarity on your values which also serve as your highest order goals, and understanding what you need to do to get there. I firmly believe that with self-awareness and determination, you can exceed the potential you thought you had and deal with the tough stuff on your plate with ease and grace.
My Story.
Before becoming a Coach full time, I spent 20 years in the communications industry, honing the craft of influence. I was a regular on "Gruen", an ABC prime time TV show , through which I developed the skill of delivering a polished performance under intense pressure. I also spent a year working in community development in India and this trip gave me a greater perspective on life and a drive to use my own influence to improve the world.
As a CEO I was reminded daily that the ability to understand myself as well as others by looking beyond the immediately apparent, is invaluable to successful leadership. In fact I noticed in all my leadership positions that I was most energised and effective when I was motivating people to be their best selves. This enabled me to not just over-deliver business outcomes but also in feeling fulfilled. I wanted to focus on this and for the last 14 years have been learning and practicing the art and science of Coaching.

A sonnet for Claire. My one thing for me. A truth. A dare. Just one. Not two or three. The idea to Coach. The grace to not ask. Stoic in approach. And wise in task. Shared was the connection. The delivery, neat. In spirit of protection. Kept both on our feet. The joy. Oh the joy. - Thank you Claire, for all of it...
